STRONG

Our circuit-style functional strength training class is suitable for those with osteoporosis, chronic health conditions, or injuries that require a more tailored approach. It is great for beginners to intermediate levels. We do require that you have great technique/form, are ready for a faster pace, and are able to get up and down off of the floor.

This class is great if….

  • You are looking for a supportive and fun environment to exercise, gain strength and general fitness
  • You have never been to group exercise classes before but are interested and motivated to try
  • You’ve recently had an injury that has required some rehabilitation and now you’re keen to get back into regular exercise
  • You’ve tried high-intensity workout classes and just ended up sore, aggravated an old injury, or you just felt you didn’t fit in
  • You want expert guidance and someone who truly listens and understand where you’re at
  • You need a expertly supervised class due to health or physical concerns

What are the main goals of this class?

  • To build great overall strength for everyday function
  • Improve your mobility
  • Improve posture and endurance for things like – standing, sitting, walking even running
  • Build muscle! This is one of the great anti-aging secrets
  • Improve cardiovascular function and tolerance
  • Improve deep core and pelvic strength, stability and function

The “Nitty Gritty”

  • A new client consultation is required prior to attending class
  • Options for mixed or womens only STRONG classes (see timetable)
  • STRONG classes are suitable for pre and post natal (provided you have had a one-on-one screening with a practitioner)
  • Classes are designed, run and fully supervised by our exercise physiologists
  • Class passes available
  • Sessions are claimable on private health
  • Small class sizes so bookings are essential!
